To celebrate his achievement in the competition and to be able to engage with his fans on social media, Motionable proposed to create a viral AR filter on Instagram, highlighting THE characteristic of the chef, his moustache, which he also uses as emblem for his restaurants and gastronomic collaborations.
To achieve the client’s expectations we created an AR filter and launched it on Instagram, based on what symbolizes the celebrity chef.
Since IG Stories was launched in 2016, there are more than 500 million Instagram users spending their time on IG Stories daily, and this figure keeps growing, placing Instagram as a must-use platform to generate a community of followers
Filters are one of the most used features on IG Stories where users tend to add some fun gimmicks on their content. It is a playful yet effective way to engage with your followers.
To help Citron Grenade make the Chef’s achievement go viral and to make sure his fans can engage with his success, we decided to create a face-tracker AR filter by using his moustache and his hand-written signature, symbolizing his identity, as a gimmick.
To ensure the popularity of the AR filter, we launched it on the day of the final of the competition on the chef’s account.
